The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
You will be joining Network Service Delivery Center as (Senior) Network Automation Architect, Network Automation Architect is responsible for automation process standardization for existing processes and provides new solutions to replace manual approach with a goal of deployment time and cost reduction for project run by the Network Services Delivery Center.

What you will learn and contribute to 

Are you passionate about modern networking automation and virtualization?
As part of our team, you will:

• Ensures that automation applied to projects follows internal standards with regards to currently used tools, libraries and techniques
• Attends customer discussions or workshops to analyze customers’ technical & business needs to define automation requirements, establish automation plans and priorities 
• Technical assessments in terms of possible automation in initial stage of project – in cooperation with project team – PM/TPM/IP SME  
• Describing the automation project requirements in terms of LAB and network access if applicable 
• Integration of existing automation tools into new automation process if reasonable 
• Support & mentor IP SMEs working on automation during project capability build
• Incorporates new technologies/platforms into automation solutions and proactively encouraging IP engineers/IP SMEs to use them 
• Attend important projects technical activities (PoC, FOA and rollout kick off) 
• Produce customer project related technical documentation and presentations if needed 
• Creation of new tools/libraries standardize and document them 
• Tracks industry current developments as well as explores new innovative ways by attending industry conferences & events 
• Experiments with new automation technologies, frameworks, libraries to assess usability for projects run by NDSC 
• Ensure that Nokia information security practices are followed in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organization 

Your skills and experience

You have:

• 10+ years of relevant telecom experience in the field of service provider IP/MPLS solutions
• Advanced practical knowledge of IP technical solutions -service provider
• Python working experience, able to write scripts to cover automation area
• Ability to translate algorithms into a code
• Working experience in DevOps env and tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkis)
• Hands-on with GIT repositories
• Familiarity with self-testing code approach

It would be nice if you also had:

• Virtual routers technologies, SD-WAN, Telco Cloud working knowledge
• Knowledge of Linux Systems, Red Hat preferably (RHCSA level, certificate not required)
• Understanding and experience in Agile projects delivery. following DevOps, NetDev principles
• familiarity with virtualization technology (VMware, docker, vagrant)
