Position: Visualization and Analytics Design – Summer Trainee
Duration: 3 months
Location: Poland, Bydgoszcz
Date: 1.07.2025 – 30.09.2025
Education Recommendations: Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field
Within NI, you will be part of the Strategic Sourcing organization’s Materials Management which provides materials support across Nokia’s global manufacturing footprint.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As a part of our team, you will:
- Undertake a review (internal and external) of available Design and Use Standards for PowerBI environments, as well as review the many reports and applications the team has deployed to help determine what should be the Standards for delivering PowerBI analytics tools
- Talk with current users to understand how they engage with our data, reporting, and analytics environment. You will gather pain points and ideas for improvements
- Bring your knowledge of functionality and visual design element best practices to help develop and document a Standard that can be deployed across the organization using the information that has been gathered. Create a list of quick wins for improvements.
- Work with individual teams to implement the new Standards, providing both guidance as well as help to transform established reports
- Produce new visualizations that can enhance established reports
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- Active student status
- Willingness to work full-time during the summertime
- An excellent English both spoken and written
- Intermediate to advanced data visualization creator
- A creative and visual mindset, that can advocate for user experience
- Listening and communication skills, whit great attention to detail
- Motivation to work with others and help/guide them to adopt the necessary changes
- Positive attitude with a passion for cultivating a culture of design within a tech company
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or other data visualization packages
- Good writing skills
- Willingness to working in a virtual/hybrid environment
